Were excited to be hosting a series of three parties that are part of the events programme for the ‘Royal River: Power, Pageantry and the Thames’ exhibition at the National Maritime Museum. The exhibition was created to mark the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and presents the historic River Thames in all its glory from British royal and City events to London’s famous watermen, and the river’s transformation after the notorious ‘Great Stink’.
Join artist Sadia Ur-Rehman, Museum staff and other party guests in the sumptuous Orangery in The Queen’s House for afternoon tea, fancy snacks and commonwealth-themed parlour games including ‘Queenie’s Quiz’ and the coin game.
There will also be an opportunity to contribute your memories to the Jubilee Time Capsule, an online time capsule marking 60 years of the commonwealth.
Themed commonwealth, we’ll be serving tea from 3 different Commonwealth nations:
Sunday 20th May: English-style Tea Party
Sunday 27th May: Kenyan-style Tea Party
Saturday 2nd June: English-style Tea Party
